December 2024 Recap
I am still not sure if I want to continue posting recaps on Spotify, but it is fitting that the month I choose to begin putting the recaps into a blog was when I started to intake downloaded off-Spotify music that had been piling up in my computer.
Basement Jaxx - Fly Life
Chase & Status - Baddadan (Extended Mix) feat. Bou, IRAH, Flowdan, Trigga, Takura
Cobra Starship - Good Girls Go Bad (Matt Haick Remix)
Craig David - Fill Me In (Sunship Remix) (2000 Wildstar B Side)
Crydajam - If You Give Me The Love I Want
Dannic - Tombo
David Guetta - Miscommunication
Matt Darey - Too Far
Redlight - Missing feat. ETS
Reno Prjct - System
Shaolin Cowboy - Catch Feels Get High
Sneaker Pimps - Post-Modern Sleaze
Jamie Rhoden - Off The Coast (Acoustic)
This was taken from a split with Brandon Setta. You're A Liar (Jamie) is one my most cherished punk songs, and it was great to finally listen to the whole project this was from.
Helmet - Sinatra (Live)
Howard Shore - Goodbye And End Titles (includes Heart And Soul)
Big's score is on of my favorite scores of all time, and could bring tears to my eyes.
Odetta - Dink's Blues
Henry Mancini - Moon River (Piano And Guitar)
Benny Carter - Buck & The Preacher Theme
Fantastic movie that I highly recommend.
Butter 08 - Butter of 69
This is probably the most exciting band/album I have listened to in the last 6 months.
Aruna Sairam - Kadakadani
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Bunker Hill
Archibald - Early Morning Blues
My favorite Jimi Hendrix song is "Jelly 292", the piano lick from this song is used as the baseline in Jelly, do no know if the songs are connected but my ears shot up immediately.
Sheryl Crow - I'm Gonna Be a Wheel Someday
Glen Campbell - Bowlegged Polly
This song admittedly is not my favorite, but I wanted some country representation and it was a slow month for country. It does give me the opportunity though to highlight "In The Heat Of The Night", a Sidney Poitier film I recommend.
Buddy Miles - Take It Off Him And Put It On Me (Live)
Buddy Holly - Rock-A-Bye-Rock
Beenie Man - Dung & Boogie
Lil B - I'm God
Stay BASED.
Mercedes Sosa - Siembra
I finally organized my world music into country of origin, and so now I know that Mercedes is from Argentina!
January 2025 Recap
The Burbank Vibe Center - Chill Jam
C+C Music Factory - Shade
Candi Staton - You Got The Love (Ministry of Sound Erens Bootleg Mix)
Picco - Cubano (Vocal Latino Mix)
Saint Etienne - 4.35 in the Morning (Kid Loco Mix)
Eddy Herrera - No Le Cuentes
Selena - Fotos Y Recuerdos
Covering "Back On The Chain Gang"!? Incredible
Glenn Sutton & Lloyd Green - Green Bluegrass

Dirty Heads - Spread Too Thin
My white boy reggae Pandora era.
Maria Callas - Adriana Lecouvreur, Act 4: "Poveri Fiori"
Lord Invader - Rum & Coca-Cola
Pinegrove - Old Friends
Was surprised how strongly this song emotionally affected me. As a sad boy I've listened to a lot of sad music, emo punk, and most of the visceral reactions came when I was younger. It caught me off guard to have such an experience at my age now.
Casa De Leones - Yo Se
John Fogerty - Centerfield
Vince Guaraldi - Track Meet
Manu Chao - Clandestino
Clara Nunes - Feitio De Oração
Cliar - Clò Mhic Ille Mhìcheil / Blue Bonnets
Omar LinX - 3 Chapters
It was either between this or "Little Moments" but since that song uses a Mayer sample and I was already putting a Mayer song in the recap, thought I would give the equally good "3 Chapters" it's deserved shine.
John Mayer - Waiting On The World To Change (Verizon Center, Washington, D.C., July 25, 2007)
The bonus disc of "Continuum" has live tracks, this track and a live version of Gravity I highly recommend. He is ripping on "Gravity", but this track won out because the chorus was in my head for the next week.
The Clash - I Fought the Law
Megadeth - Symphony Of Destruction
Ridiculous some of the stuff I deleted out of my library. No clue why I didn't "like" my Megadeth songs anymore, honestly Peace Sells is my real jam, but this also got so much play when I was younger.
John Hammond - Goin' Down Slow
Grateful Dead - Friend of the Devil (Live)
From the Dead Set album, love how they made the song groovy and slow.
Lil Wayne - Burn
Blondie - Once I Had A Love A.K.A. The Disco Song
Dan Hartman - I Can Dream About You
The Flaming Lips - SpongeBob & Patrick Confront the Psychic Wall of Energy
Shoutout Mystery Gang & Spongebob night.

Amadou et Mariam - Baara
Amos Lee - Night Train
Al Green - It Ain't No Fun to Me
Alabama Shakes - Shoegaze
Atomic Rooster - The Rock
Was pleasantly surprised with this Atomic Rooster album.
Anita Baker - Been So Long
March 2025 Recap
You may have noticed that most of the artists start with "A". That is because I am combining all my musical listening projects into one, so that I can clean up my file folders in one straight shot, and so I could build my favorite songs of all time playlist ("duende").

A Flock Of Seagulls - Space Age Love Song
Do not like "I Ran (So Far Away)" so expected this album to flop, but it did not, and they got way more punk rock than expected on it.
Alaska y Dinarama - Un Hombre De Verdad
Aldemaro Romero - Ansiedad
